Paraphrase Perfume (formerly known as Libertine) was created in 2014 by Joshua Smith, an ex-forester turned designer. After stepping away from forestry, Joshua felt a deep pull back to the natural landscapes he once worked in. Scent became his way of reconnecting—a personal, portable way to experience the forests and prairies he missed.
